The short version
Your invoice never reaches us. Your business details, your client's details, your line items and your totals are processed entirely inside your browser and are never transmitted to any server we control. We could not read your invoices if we wanted to, because they are never sent anywhere.
The site is free and funded by advertising. Advertising and analytics are provided by third parties who do set cookies and do collect data about your visit. That part is described honestly below — it would be misleading to say "we don't track you" while running ads.
What stays on your device
Everything you type into the invoice form, and any logo you add, is held in your browser's memory and in its local storage — a private store belonging to this site on your own computer or phone. It is used so that your next invoice takes seconds instead of minutes.
- Your draft invoice, so a refresh or an accidental tab close does not lose your work
- Your business details, logo, currency and paper size, so they are pre-filled next time
- A short history of recent invoices, capped at the twenty most recent
None of this is uploaded, backed up or synchronised. It exists only in the browser you typed it into. Clearing your browsing data deletes it permanently and we cannot recover it, which is why the tool offers an export you can save yourself.
The PDF is generated by JavaScript running on your device and saved directly to your downloads. No copy passes through us.
What third parties collect
To keep the tool free we use a small number of external services. These operate under their own privacy policies, not ours.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and may collect your IP address, device information and general location. You can opt out of personalised advertising inGoogle Ads Settings, and review how Google uses data from sites that use its services atpolicies.google.com.
Ads are placed below the tool. Advertisers never receive your invoice contents, because those contents are never sent off your device in the first place.
Analytics and error reporting
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the tool is used — which controls people reach for, and where they get stuck — and an error reporter to find crashes we would otherwise never hear about. Clarity records a replay of the interface.
The invoice form and the preview are masked in those recordings. Text you type into them is replaced before the recording leaves your browser, so names, addresses, tax numbers and amounts are not captured. What we see is that a field was used, not what was put in it.
What we do not do
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect email addresses
- We do not store your invoices, your clients or your amounts on any server
- We do not sell or share your data, because we do not hold it
- We do not add a watermark, a signup wall or an export limit
Your choices
You can clear everything this site has stored by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings, which removes drafts, preferences and history immediately. Blocking cookies or using an ad blocker will not stop the invoice tool working — the PDF generator has no dependency on either.
If you are in the UK or EU, the lawful basis for the local storage described above is that it is strictly necessary to provide a tool you have asked to use. Advertising and analytics cookies rest on consent where consent is required.
Children
This is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change with it. Because we hold no accounts, we have no way to notify you directly.
