How it works without a server

There is no backend. The form, the live preview and the PDF are all produced by code running in your browser. When you click Download, your device builds the file and saves it — nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing for us to store, leak or lose.

That is not a privacy slogan, it is the architecture. It is also what makes the tool sustainable: a site that costs almost nothing to run per invoice can afford to give unlimited invoices away.

How it is paid for

Advertising, shown below the tool and never between you and the form. That is the whole business model. There is no premium tier, no upsell after the third invoice, and no email capture — if you are ever asked to sign up for something here, something has gone wrong.

Things it does that the big tools do not

• A4 or US Letter, your choice. The market leader offers no paper-size control at all, so a UK user gets a Letter-sized PDF that clips when printed on A4. The default follows your locale and the toggle sits next to the download button.
• Your details are remembered locally. The second invoice takes seconds, without an account existing anywhere.
• The preview is the document. The on-screen sheet and the PDF are driven by one shared layout, down to where a long description breaks across lines, so what you approve is what you download.

Accuracy

Invoice layout is easy to get subtly wrong, so the PDF output is checked automatically on every change: that long descriptions are not truncated, that a multi-page invoice repeats its column headers, that the totals block is never stranded alone on a final page, and that accented characters and currency symbols survive.
